First WNPRC Blood Drive a Success

Thirty-nine WNPRC employees donated blood at the center's first Red Cross blood drive, on June 21 in the Primate Center conference room. Amy Urbanski, assistant training coordinator in Animal Services, coordinated the event and several staff members donated treats for the day.

Red Cross staff collected 33 units of blood (~500 mL per unit), which translates into 99 potential lives saved.
