Primate species at the NPRC include:

Other species of monkeys, including Macaca arctoides (stumptailed macaque), Saguinus oedipus(cottontop tamarin), the pygmy marmoset and the cynomolgus monkey have been studied at the center.

The center is self-sufficient in breeding monkeys and does not import animals from the wild. Research and animal care are regulated by University committees and national agencies to ensure compliance with the Animal Welfare Act. Our center is fully accredited by the American Association for the Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care-International (AAALAC-I).
