The historical listing includes all known documented captive animals and is current through December 2000. There is a separate listing, by institution, of all animals alive on 31 December 2000. Please note that this edition is limited to the subspecies Saguinus bicolor bicolor. All known living individuals outside of Brazil belong to this subspecies, as does the vast majority of the total captive population. The other two subspecies, S. bicolor martinsi and S. bicolor ochraceus, may be included in future editions of the studbook. The information contained in this studbook includes animal identities and locations, sex, parentage, births, deaths and transfers. All information is believed to be accurate. Please inform the Studbook Keeper of any errors or inconsistencies. The Studbook Keepers are Dr. Andrew J. Baker and Dr. Alcides Pissinatti. Please address all correspondence to: Dr. Andrew J.
