How To Contribute Slides

Contributing Just as the human species cannot be represented by one or two individuals, we shouldn't expect any nonhuman primate species to be. It is our hope to collect over 50 slides for each primate species. We cannot hope to reach this goal without the active support of the primatological community. Already there have been several hundred contributions worldwide.

We are actively soliciting for new additions to the slide collection. If you have slides to contribute, we can accept your master slides to keep, duplicate slides to keep, or make duplicates from your slides returning your originals. We have duplication facilities on the UW campus. The turnaround time for duplicating and processing slides is 2 weeks.

All contributed slides should be numbered for easy identification, and the numbers used when identifying data for the WRPRC AV slide database. We collect the following information for each slide:

Include your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address with your slides. This information is necessary if someone wishes to reproduce an image and requires permission from the copyright holder. You may also add a statement to your contribution waiving your copyright, allowing the slides to fall under "public domain," which allows unrestricted use by any individual.

Forms for collecting this information are also available. Contact Ray Hamel, Audiovisual Librarian, at 1 (608) 263-3512 or hamel@primate.wisc.edu for copies of these forms.
