Most of the antibodies are directed to human cytokines. They were selected on basis of their reactivity in an ELISA using naturally derived (PBMC) cytokines from human and rhesus macaques. The OD readings of the titrated PBMC supernatants reveal a sigmoidal dose response curve in the cytokine ELISA. The steep slope of this curve should be identical if the antibodies show 100% cross-reactivity to the macaque cytokines. All antibody pairs in our catalogue reveal cross-reactivity between 90-100%.

Charles River BRF, Inc. (BRF), with a capacity to hold 2800 primates, is the oldest and largest primate supplier that started operations as Primate Imports in 1958. AAALAC accredited since 1970, BRF maintains an inventory of 2000 primates in its state-of-the-art facilities at Houston, Texas. BRF supplies uniquely clean cynomolgus monkeys bred by Bioculture Mauritius, and of feral Mauritius origin, which are free of Herpes B, SRV, SIV and TB tested negative at five tests.
