Description: Miss Waldron’s Red Colobus, (Procolobus badius waldroni),Côte d’Ivoire, Guinean Forests of West Africa hotspot. The primate perhaps closest to extinction, it has not been seen alive since 1933. The finding of a single skin in possession of a hunter in southeastern Côte d’Ivoire in 2002 has raised hopes that at least one population still hangs on.
